Smoking Cessation Resources

In our discussions around the state it’s evident that many employers struggle with smoking and tobacco cessation. EmployersLikeMe recently had discussions with our friend Scott Harbin at Pfizer about employer resources for smoking cessation.  Scott was nice enough to share several resources.

Go to our Resource tab and then look in the “Smoking Cessation” section.  We have several white papers by Milliman and there’s a slide deck on a very neat cessation app called Plan Q.  The Plan Q app is free and it is meant to augment your other programs.  If you have any interest in Plan Q  please contact Scott at moc.rezifpnull@nibrah.s.w

EmployersLikeMe Summit a Success at Mohawk Industries

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMany thanks to our speakers, moderators and participants for a successful Employer Healthcare Summit on April 22nd.  And a very special thanks to our host Phil Brown and his wonderful team at Mohawk Industries especially Kimberlee Johns and Adrienne Bowen.   I’ve worked with lots of folks to host events and I can honestly say that the Mohawk team was the most gracious and most professional ever!

One of the day’s highlights was Phil Brown describing their journey for better health at Mohawk.  If you missed it we have a copy of Phil’s presentation here.

EmployersLikeMe Wellness Survey Results – January 2015

We helped the Georgia Department of Public Health pilot a wellness survey last fall with our network members.  The results can be seen here:  DPH/EmpLikeMe Wellness Survey

The whole concept of wellness and wellbeing will be a hot topic at our Summit next week in Calhoun:

  1. Charles Bartlett, Executive Chef for Southwire will discuss engaging employees through your food service.
  2. Marian Chase, Senior Manager, Benefits for Newell Rubbermaid, will talk about their new emphasis on establishing that primary care relationship.
  3. Diana Gendusa, Benefits Director for Mohawk, will discuss Mohawk’s experience and many programs around employee engagement.
  4. Mark Wilson, Associate Dean and Director, Workplace Health Group at UGA’s College of Public Health, will discuss the new directions that companies are going for employee engagement.

Community Health Data Resources
